Working closely with Blackboard Inc. ISB initiated, sponsored and organized the first Bb Summit Middle East Conference. The first conference to bring Bb users from across the region together, the Bb Summit ME opened a forum for Bb's Midlde East clients to share their success stories and best practices with educational institutions from across the region. With the support of the Higher Colleges of Technology and under the patronage of His Excellency Sheikh Nahayan Al Mubarak Al Nahayan Minister of Higher Education in the UAE and Chancellor of the Higher Colleges of Technology and Zayed University, the Bb Summit ME was a great success with over 100 participants attending this initial event. Bb executives including Micheal Chasen, CEO and President of Blackboard Inc., took the opportunity to visit the region to show their commitment to supporting the enhancment of education in the Middle East. Micheal Chasen, along with Hanny Alshazly, Vice President of ISB and Abdulaziz Alsania also visited key stake holders in the region including His Excellency Sheikh Nahayan Al Mubarak Al Nahayan to share Blackboard's success in the region and how Bb technologies have been improving the learning experrience of students in the UAE and across the Middle East since the mid-nineties. Bb and ISB are currently working on organizing the second ME Summit scheduled to be held in in late 2008.
